About the project
Listerine wanted a campaign for their collaboration with Barry M to enable their customers to win one of three shades of lipstick. Customers were asked to enter a unique code from the back of their Listerine bottle into the contact form, along with some information about themselves and a valid receipt. The campaign delivered allowed Listerine to gather customer data for their mailing list and more.
Listerine had previously had some trouble with these type of campaigns and required Social Response to customise the Wyng platform to add in some extra validity checks. The brief from Listerine was that the campaign had to support the uploading of an image (the receipt). We extended the Wyng platform by enabling multiple images to be submitted along with a signup form. The standard functionality only allows for single image submission; we extended this to allow multiple images and the ability to request three lipstick colours. Another added validity check was to ensure no duplicates of email address could be used. Finally we added a reCAPTCHA customisation to the Wyng campaign. Once the user had completed the form and gone through these validity checks their code would be compared against a list of codes that sit on a server. Once the code has been confirmed the user would be presented with a thank you message and could collect their reward.
The form page was a bit of a beast but we dealt with quickly and efficiently.
